Each spring, before the beach tags are pinned on and before the calendar fills with summer reservations, there is a weekend that signals the shift in energy on the 7 Mile Island. Shop-A-Holics has become that moment.

Hosted inside The Princeton and The Sea Grill, this multi-vendor pop-up transforms two of Avalon’s spaces into a full-scale designer sale event. For one weekend, these venues give way to clothing racks, accessory tables, jewelry displays, and curated home pieces from some of the area’s favorite boutiques.

The concept is simple: bring together established island retailers under one roof and offer serious markdowns on designer merchandise, home decor, jewelry, and more. The result feels less like a sidewalk sale and more like a private shopping event with a cocktail in hand.

Participating boutiques include Closet Boutique, The Spot, Petals and Plants, Izzi & Lu, Tiger Lily, and other well-known island brands. Shoppers can expect women’s apparel, children’s clothing, gifts, jewelry, and home décor. Izzi & Lu, which recently announced its new Avalon location at 2743 Dune Drive with a grand opening set for April 4, continues to expand its presence on the island, including in-house embroidery at its new storefront.

Beyond the fashion and accessories, Shop-A-Holics also introduces an added incentive: bring in unused gold or jewelry for on-site evaluation. Del Haven Jewelers and Blue Chip Jewelry will be available during the event, offering attendees the opportunity to receive cash for items they no longer wear. Many guests choose to reinvest those funds directly back into their shopping.

What distinguishes this event is the setting. The familiar surroundings of The Princeton, and the well-loved and iconic Sea Grill, shift entirely. Shoppers move from vendor to vendor, often pausing for drink and menu specials offered by The Princeton, and grab major discounts throughout the weekend.
