Founded by MJ Cook, Coastal Barcuterie is a mobile luxury cart experience serving the Jersey Shore including Avalon, Stone Harbor, Ocean City, surrounding shore communities, and the Philadelphia region.
The concept brings together food, presentation, and guest interaction in a way that feels fresh, polished, and fun. Instead of a traditional catering setup, Coastal Barcuterie creates a styled focal point for the event. Guests can watch as individual charcuterie boards or cannolis are prepared in real time, making the service part of the gathering itself.

MJ brings decades of experience in catering, hospitality, and event design to the business. She created Coastal Barcuterie with the goal of offering something more personal than standard food service.
“This is about creating a moment,” MJ shared. “Something guests gather around and remember.”
The business specializes in interactive charcuterie and cannoli cart service, with each setup styled to complement the host’s event. From coastal-inspired celebrations to modern gatherings, every detail can be tailored to the occasion.

The cannoli cart is already becoming one of the brand’s signature features, with toppings such as chocolate chips, pistachios, crushed cookies, sprinkles, powdered sugar, seasonal add-ins, and specialty cream flavors like banana cream and crème brûlée.
For larger events and more customized setups, Coastal Barcuterie also offers upgraded packages with additional carts, custom board branding, themed menus, beverage pairings, and enhanced styling elements.
The service is designed for weddings, bridal and baby showers, private celebrations, corporate events, real estate open houses, grand openings, and upscale at-home gatherings. It is especially well suited for hosts who want the food presentation to feel just as thoughtful as the rest of the event.

Each experience is built around the host’s vision. MJ has already created custom menus based on a guest of honor’s favorite foods, incorporated specialty items like shrimp cocktail, and offered branded takeaways such as personalized mini boards.
“Traditional catering is expected,” MJ said. “What we offer is an experience, something that brings people together and becomes part of the atmosphere.”
While the shore season will be a major focus, Coastal Barcuterie is also available in the Philadelphia area and Main Line throughout the year. Official bookings are now open for the 2026 season, with select pop-ups and private events currently underway.
As the business grows, MJ plans to expand the cart offerings, appear at more high-end shore events, and continue building new concepts and collaborations around elevated mobile catering.
