The fun kicks off tonight with the Pre-Shiver Party at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor starting at 6pm. For $30/person, attendees will enjoy an Irish Buffet, music, and a ticketed auction. Plus, you'll be chipping in for a good cause, as proceeds from the Shiver will benefit the Chamber and this year's beneficiary, The Branches Outreach.
Meet this year's 2024 Shiver King and Queen, register for Saturday's polar plunge, and grab your shiver swag!
The fun continues at Fred's Tavern for "Sips & Dips" breakfast starting at 10am. Grab your team and dress in your most creative costumes for the Shiver Showdown. Line-up for the annual Shiver Parade (begins outside of Fred's parking lot) and march you way down 96th Street lead by the WHOAPHAT Brass Band.
The Shiver Showdown will begin following the parade at approximately 12:15pm as groups compete for the Best Of awards.
The actual plunge into the ocean will kick-off around 1:15 following the competition.
And then head back to Fred's Tavern for food and fun featuring the Quinn Brothers Band in the tented parking lot.
This is one of our favorite weekends and a great way to enjoy the shops and restaurants throughout the weekend as they officially open for the season.
